Ever since I was little I had been thinking about the idea of statistics and never studied it. When I finally took it I barely needed to study because I was picking up the concepts and equations like bottlecaps. I started using an SRS and just abandoned it because it was unnecessary for that class in my case.

Belief in being able to do it is important. Lots of people have bad grades and just beat themselves up. It&#039;s a vicious self-deprecating cycle and I rode it through highschool and freshman year of college. What lead to you changing your mind?</description>

I have to wonder if the difficulty has to do with how you try to remember the stuff. As a map of cause and effect, it all seems to fit nicely in my head. I&#039;ve also gotten away with avoiding most rote memorization because of mnemoics, even without using an SRS.

But I also think it&#039;s a bit psycological too. I noticed that last year, my grades were awful, and so I felt bad about myself. But then I told myself I could do better, and I did, even though I only slightly modified my study habits.</description>

So yeah: don&#039;t waste your time warming up your expensive chair in class while you chat on Facebook. You&#039;ll be way ahead of the game.</description>
